    Can the grills be painted?

    Yes. You can use spray paint from the hardware store. Or, for a professional finish, use custom-matched automotive spray paint.

    Do I need a pre-construction rough-in ring?

    No. You can use the supplied template to cut the wholes in the ceiling.

    BUT, we highly recommend using the pre-construction rings. Then the sub contractors can cut the holes for you.

    How are these wired?

    You can use 16/2 speaker wire.nSome prefer 14/2 for use with high-end amplifiers. ONLY use speaker wire.

    TIP: We like to run 16/4 speaker wire to the first speaker in every pair. Then we connect the second speaker with a 16/2 speaker wire.

    How are these powered?

    Each speaker pair needs an amplifier and a music server. Leaf and VSSL are good for this. You could also use an all-in-one Sonos AMP.

    Are these Bluetooth or AirPlay compatible?

    They can be. By using a VSSL or Sonos AMP allows you can wirelessly connect to your homes' speakers.
